HOMETOWN HERO TRIBUTE BANNER PROGRAM UPDATE

The City of Perth Amboy has been proudly honoring our local, active duty service members and veterans with commemorative light pole banners displayed across our business districts. These banners, a visible token of our appreciation, have adorned streets such as Smith Street, State Street, New Brunswick Avenue, Amboy Avenue, and Hall Avenue, showcasing the names, service branches, and photographs of our honored service individuals.

APPLICATIONS FOR NEW BANNERS ARE CLOSED.

The installation of previously approved banners is scheduled for unveiling on or before Memorial Day 2024. We are grateful for the opportunity to have recognized the brave men and women from Perth Amboy who have served our country.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Our mission remains steadfast: to honor and recognize the dedication of our local, active duty service members and veterans. This tribute aims to keep their valiant efforts in the forefront throughout the City of Perth Amboy's business district.

PREVIOUS REQUIREMENTS FOR NOMINATION
(1) Nominees must have been active service members or veterans who resided in Perth Amboy at the time of their enlistment.
(2) A high-resolution photograph in military uniform, against a flag or solid background, was required for banner design. These banners were 24'X48', double-sided, full color on vinyl material, and included the service individual's name, branch of service, and photograph.
