Ring the Liberty Bell on July 4
Celebrate Independence Day where history comes alive. The City of Perth Amboy invites residents and visitors to attend a special Liberty Bell Ringing Ceremony on Saturday, July 4, 2026, as part of the nationwide commemoration leading to America's 250th Anniversary.
Join Mayor Helmin J. Caba, City Historian John Kerry Dyke, Revolutionary War reenactors, veterans, first responders, elected officials, and community members for a patriotic ceremony honoring the founding of the United States.
The program will feature colonial cannon and musket demonstrations, patriotic music, the Pledge of Allegiance, the National Anthem, a community reading of the Declaration of Independence, remarks from local leaders, and the ceremonial ringing of Perth Amboy's Liberty Bell.
Arrive Early
Pre-ceremony activities begin at 12:00 PM with Revolutionary War cannon and musket demonstrations. A Brass Quintet will perform patriotic selections beginning at 12:30 PM. The Liberty Bell Ringing Ceremony begins at 1:00 PM.
