Smith Street Sewer Repair and Temporary Closure
B & W Construction Co. of NJ, Inc. has informed the City of Perth Amboy that repairs to the sanitary and storm sewer system will begin
on or about Monday, December 1, weather permitting.
Work will take place on Smith Street between McCellan Street and Madison Avenue.
These repairs are expected to take approximately five days to complete.
What Residents and Businesses Should Know
- Full Closure: Smith Street will be closed 24 hours a day between McCellan Street and Madison Avenue until the work is finished.
- Detour: A detour will be in place throughout the project. Please follow posted signs.
- Business Access: Signs will be posted stating “All Businesses Open During Construction.”
