Public Notice: Alexander F. Jankowski Community Center Parking Lot Improvements Begin Thursday, June 26, 2025

The City of Perth Amboy will begin important improvements to the Alexander F. Jankowski Community Center parking lot on Thursday, June 26, 2025. This project will enhance the condition and usability of our public parking facilities.

What Residents Need to Know:

• Parking lot closures: Both the front and rear parking lots at the Alexander F. Jankowski Community Center (1 Olive Street) will be closed to all vehicles beginning June 26. Work will start at the rear and move toward the front.
• Scope of work:
  • June 26–27: Milling, base repairs, and paving
  • June 30: Line striping/painting (weather permitting)
• Temporary parking relief: Alternate side parking regulations will be lifted on Market Street from Grant to Elm for Thursday, June 26 only.
• Signage: The contractor will post No Parking signs and other notices in the affected areas. Please follow all posted instructions.
• Access: The parking lots must remain completely clear throughout the project to avoid delays and ensure worker safety.
