MAYOR CABA SUPPORTS STUDY FOR OUTERBRIDGE CROSSINGPERTH AMBOY– Mayor Helmin J. Caba released the following statement in response to the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey’s decision to study the widening of the Outerbridge Crossing between central New Jersey and Staten Island:

“I support this study that intends to improve the quality of life of commuters and residents in this neighborhood.   This bridge has connected people for over 90 years and has been a critical component to facilitate travel in our city and beyond.  The expansion, regardless, will alleviate congestion, improve traveler safety, and economic growth."
