Perth Amboy, NJ – May 23, 2024 – The City of Perth Amboy is proud to announce that it has been awarded $90,548.47 as part of the $27 million in NJ Clean Communities funds. This marks the highest amount ever awarded, signifying a significant investment in our city's commitment to maintaining a clean and beautiful environment.

The NJ Clean Communities program, a statewide, comprehensive, litter-abatement program, has been instrumental in helping municipalities like Perth Amboy develop and implement litter-prevention initiatives. The funds received will enable the city to launch new programs aimed at promoting a litter-free community and enhancing environmental stewardship among residents.

"We are thrilled to receive this substantial grant from NJ Clean Communities," said Mayor Helmin J. Caba. "These funds will be used to support our ongoing efforts to keep Perth Amboy clean and green. We are grateful for the community's support and participation in these initiatives."
